Family

Just a few words today. It will be peaced together- but still my story!

As far as I remember, her father, Vaclovas Prialgauskas, was born in Telsius too. He was a son of “Zemaiciu Bajoras Lithuanian aristocracy, that lived in a small estate on Prialga river/later named Babrunga/ That is where the name PRIALGAUSKAS came from. He was tall, very handsome man, educated and was in charge ofCount Tiskevicius lands. We called him”DZIADUNIA”- AND I SWAS 14 YEARS OLD WHEN HE DIED FROM STROKE.

AFTER THAT, MY GRANDMOTHER- STANISLAVA-ZEMAITAITE- PRIALGAUSKIENE CAME TO LIVE WITH US AND WE CALLED HER -babunia.

SHE WAS A DAUGHTER OF A BAJORAS FROM VILIUS REGION, WHOSE MOTHER DIED EARLY AND LEFT 5 DAUGHTERS- MY GR4ANDMOTHER BEEING THE OLDEST. THEY HAD A GERMAN GOVERNESS. MY GRANDMOTHER AND HER SISTERS WERE SEND TO A GIRLS BOARDING SCHOOL IN LIEPAJA, latvia.

SHE SPOKE 5 LANGUAGES, PLAYED PIANO AND WAS A REAL LADY!

And she smoked! Which was veru unusual for a woman in those days! She told me, that she used to make home made cigarettes for her governess, and used to sneak some off and smoke in the bushes.

She was send to the German nunns Boarding school- spoke fluently German, Polish, Rusian, French and Lithuanian, played pijano beautifly and had a waist that you could measure with two hands!
